What is tumor Kidney?

Usually, only one kidney is affected and it is rare for tumor to affect the other kidney. It is more often in people over 60 and rarely at people under 40. Wilms’ tumor or nephroblastoma is an uncommon type of kidney cancer that cam affects very young children. The other types of kidney tumor are renal cell tumor and also known as renal adenocarcinoma. They start in the cell that line very small tubes, in the kidney cortex.

What is types of tumor kidney?

They are several types of tumor kidney:

    • Papillary

Papillary renal cell carcinoma can be aggressive and result in metastasis. It is not common tumor.

    • Oncocytomas

These types of tumor do not metastasize, or spread to other parts of the body. It’s considered to be benign kidney tumor. While benign, oncocytomas can damage the kidney as they may grow in places that might affect kidney blood flow or kidney function.

    • Chromophobe

About 23% of tumor kidney is chromophobe. It is considered tumor or cancer that has less aggressive rather than others.

    • Clear cell

One types of renal cell carcinoma is clear cell. It is not generally considered common in families with BHD syndrome, though some doctors have recently identified more cases than expected. Clear cell carcinoma has also been identified in some hybrid tumors.

    • Hybrid tumor

Hybrid tumor is a mixture of two types including incocytic, chromophobe, clear cell and chromophobe. Usually the tumor identified as hybrid oncocytic and chromophobe.

What is Kidney’s Tumor Symptom?

Each of tumor have different symptom. Kidney tumor rarely causes signs of symptoms in its stages. In the advanced stage of kidney symptom may include:

  • Weight Loss
  • Fatigue
  • Blood in urine, which may appear pink, red or cola colored.
  • Back pain just below the ribs that does not  go away.
  • Intermittent fever.
